Certificates and Ratings

Airman Certificates, Ratings, State Registration, Radiotelephone Permit and Airman Medical information is stored under this tab. If expiration dates are entered for an item, ADCAR will keep track of the status and alert you as it comes due by highlighting the item with a colored flag. Expiration dates for First Class Airman Medicals are computed differently depending on the age of the person.
 
As many Airman Certificate and Ratings records can be generated for each person as necessary. This tab can be hidden for personnel groups that do not require Certificates or Ratings. The Airman Certificate number, Radiotelephone permit, State Registration and Airman Medical information is edited by selecting edit mode from the toolbar for the General Information section while the Certificate and Ratings windows have their own toolbars in the lower left hand corner of each applicable window.
 
The fields for Airman Certificates and Ratings are filled in by selecting the applicable choice from the drop down list. No other entries are allowed. Items can be added or deleted from the supporting list by selecting File > Configuration > Supporting Lists from the Main Menu command bar.

Add a Certificate or Rating Record

Append a blank record by clicking the New Record button in the lower left corner of the Certificate or Rating Record window. A blank record will be inserted into the list.
Fill in the desired fields for the new record.
To save the new record, click the Post Edit button or click the Cancel Changes button to cancel adding the record. If you are entering several records at once, you can automatically save the record and append a new one in one step by clicking the New Record button instead.

Edit a Certificate or Rating Record

Click the Edit Record button in the lower left corner of the Certificate or Rating Record window. The editable fields in the contact list will turn from green to white to indicate that the program is in edit mode.
Edit the desired record.
Click the Post Edit button to save the changes or click the Cancel Changes button to cancel the changes.

Delete a Certificate or Rating Record

Click on the record you want to delete. A pointer will appear in the leftmost column.
Click the Delete Item button in the lower left corner of the Certificate or Rating Record window.
If you really want to delete the item answer "Yes". There will be no way to undo the delete.

Change the Display Order of a Certificate or Rating Record

You can change the display order of the Certificate or Rating Records by moving a contact up or down in the list.

Click on the record you want to change. A pointer will appear in the leftmost column.
Click the Move Up or Move Down button to move the record to the desired position.
